Tour information

The Rob Roy Way is a 79 mile trail that runs from Drymen to Pitlochry in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. It visits many of the places associated with Rob Roy MacGregor (1671-1734), Scotland’s most famous outlaw.

Follow the trail through Loch Ard forest towards Aberfoyle and continuing beside Lochs Venachar, Lubnaig and Tay.

You will pass through fantastic scenery with aqueducts, viaducts and lochs to keep you mesmerised all the way towards Pitlochry where you’ll pass a 3600-year-old stone circle.

The terrain of this trail is mixed. Forest tracks, cycleways and disused railways intersect with moorland footpaths. The local villages are relaxed and friendly with plenty of pubs to quench your thirst.
